Dear Parents,
The Apex Fun Run was kicked off during the awesome pep rally earlier this week! This will be an exciting event for our entire school, and with your help it will also prove to be the most financially successful event of the year! Please sit down with your child tonight and log onto www.apexfunrun.com to learn more, and to enter your student’s pledges. Their Access Code will be on their Pledge Kit that they bring home.
You are being asked to help in 3 specific ways:
- Connect your child to at least 10 different sponsors who can pledge them a dollar amount per lap. (26-36 laps, no more than 36 laps total). For instance, $1 per lap pledge will result in $26-$36 to the school after the run. On average, students will complete 30 laps.
- Help your student log on to www.apexfunrun.com and enter their pledges; or use a paper copy to record your child’s pledges if needed.
- Help volunteer for the race! We need a few parents to help cheer on students and mark jerseys. If you would like to volunteer for your student’s race, please contact Sandra Sisson at gavilanpeakpta@hotmail.com
During their time on campus, the enthusiastic Apex team will be promoting FITNESS and LEADERSHIP to all of our children. Be sure you ask your child about those character traits! Thank you so much for your generosity and we look forward to seeing you next week at the Fun Run.

Morning Drop Off Information
The School District only has liability coverage for Staff, not Volunteers who are manning the crosswalk.
So parents, for the safety of your children and the children who come to Gavilan Peak, please adhere to the following procedures to keep our kids safe:
The parking lot is NOT a drop off or pick up zone. **Some of the children are just too small for drivers to see. You can park and escort your child across the cross walk. ALL children walking to school must use sidewalks; no walking through the parking lot. This may take more time so please plan accordingly.
